  1. Re Scholarships

Carol looked into the scholarship question.

We sent $200 to the BCCGC Scholarship 11/05/07, We sent nothing in ’ 08 because the membership put off the decision at the November 08 meeting until January ’09.   At the  January meeting we approved money for the following:

  •   $ for Fine Gardening and Gardens West for the Library
  • Increase Scholarship funds to $300 Scholarship Funds. $200 to BCCGC and $100 to Howe Secondary scholarship fund re horticulture/agriculture
  • Railway Museum to receive $300 specifically for garden project

      Moved by: Diddi Price

      Seconded by:  Ellen Grant

       Motion: accepted

We decided to not donate to Lily’s Garden and put the $200 towards speakers.

      Moved by: Ellen Grant

      Seconded by:  Glenda Begley

There was some confusion in the January minutes because the $200 to the BCCGC was implied but not

specifically stated.  This has since been rectified and monies are being sent.
